Admissions

Welcome to the admissions area of our website.  We know that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make.  King James is a small school with big ambitions for each child, staff member and the wider community.  We want all pupils to be succesful in their time with us.  Each year we take a large number of children from our local feeder first schools into year 5, but we also take pupils outside of this area.  The vast majority of these pupils transfer onto the secondary phase into year 7, however we do sometimes take additional pupils, so it is always good to contact the school if you are moving into the area.  Please do explore our website where you will be able to find a range of information about school life.  Each year we run a range of Open Events for upcoming year 5 and year 7 pupils and their parents.  Have a look at the tabs on the left, which will provide more information about transfer into year 5, year 7 and in year.

Hertfordshire County Council administers the application process on behalf of the King James Academy. All applications should be made by visiting their web page here.  If you have any queries regarding our school, please contact our school via the school office by emailing admissions@kjar.org.uk or by calling 01763 242236.
