We are seeking a full or part-time colleague (experienced or NQT) to teach science to the highest standard. The successful candidate will be expected to teach all three sciences to GCSE.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • able to inspire and enthuse others
  • committed to ensuring all students of all abilities achieve their potential.

King James Academy (5-11) is a through school formed from the amalgamation of two middle schools and an upper school in 2019. Since 2020 it has been part of the Diamond Learning Partnership Trust. It is approximately 12 miles from Cambridge and is within easy access of London. The three schools were each recognised as 'Good' in all categories by Ofsted in their last inspections prior to the merger.

We are seeking to appoint from September 2021 an outstanding teacher to be Head of Performing Arts (Music) and be a key player in Arts education at the Academy. The successful candidate will have the vision and experience needed to provide strong subject leadership and will have a demonstrable interest in cross curricular working for example , music, drama, and dance. They will have a clear passion for supporting uptake in both cross curricular and GCSE Music.

This role could suit both an experienced practitioner or exceptionally talented NQT. You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team and we offer a comprehensive induction programme and excellent opportunities for high quality CPD.
