It was a really positive week for the PE department this week where students at all levels across the academy were able to take part in some competitive sports. Those of you that follow our various Twitter feeds will see just how well King James Students performed against their peers at a district level. For me personally more pleasing was the number of young Sports Leaders who supported Miss Williamson in the various tournaments and sports days held for Years 1 to 4 children. Seeing our young people as role models is something which gives me a lot of pride in our school.
In recent weeks I’ve had a series of meetings with parents on a range of issues during the Thursday drop in sessions. Often parents email me asking to meet. Please remember you can contact the school and arrange an appointment with me on a Thursday up to 8pm which may save you time and get you to meet quicker. As always I would encourage you to go to the form teacher or class teacher in the first instance but I am always happy to discuss the school, your child and our plans for the future.
Over the next few weeks in lessons your children may inform you there have been additional people in lessons writing things down. This is part of our programme of school evaluation and I am really pleased to be able to invite a number of external professionals to come in and aid us in this important process. I’m hopeful I’ll be able to give you an update on how the school is doing and how we are progressing together later on this term.
Could I take the opportunity to remind those of you who are thinking about the Malawi trip that the deadline to sign up is next week?
Have a good weekend.
